Hey all!

I got this Colorsound Wah + Fuzz in and need to rebuild it; in which order does the fuzz + wah go???

Rebuild it so it "works" or so that it is restored to some vintage state?

A great many old-school fuzz-wahs are hardwired to be fuzz->wah, simply because the wah effect seems more pronounced in that configuration.  Which I suppose is why they tend to be called "Fuzz-wah" rather than "Wah-Fuzz".  Of course, as both Jimi and Stevie showed us, they're not necessarily quite as soulful, and this one IS a wah-fuzz, so.....

If it is feasible to wire it up with an order flip switch, that's the best path to pursue.  Both fuzz->wah and wah->fuzz are useful in their own way.

only works; the wires are gone :)

So it is fuzz - wah; thanks!!!!

I like the colorsound wah after the fuzz, but I have only built them into fuzz units as a fixed wah sort of tone control. without the foot treadle.

Small thing about the schematic (as some items are missing)

Is the input cap of the fuzz really that small???? It is like 100 pF

Ok; found another schematic in which it is 100 nF; could be more normal!

Hey! Well I know it's a very old topic but...anyway.. I've built this circuit and I simply can't get it to work. I used the exact components in the schematic, an audio output transformer as an inductor and the transistors are 2n5551 for the first one and 2n3904 for the second one. The problem is, when I plug it in my amp, all I get is an annoying hum and my guitar's signal but VERY low. Please help me if you can....I'll post a pic or 2 if you ask or need. Thanks!
