I just got a big box of some NOS Raytheon 5072 subminiature pentodes from ebay, NIB and all. These seem pretty robust and highly variable in their usage. The datasheets show info on nirmal pentode usage, as well as triode strapping. They are capable of 1.2W max Plate dissipation, but seem that they would be nice as gain stages (either configuration) in a boost design (ie pentaboost, valvecaster).

Here's the datasheet. http://frank.pocnet.net/sheets/138/5/5702WB.pdf

Anybody ever used these? Any experiences?

Still a tubey noobie. Been doing this a while, and still can't figure much out, smh.
