need begginer project suggestions

Hi I'm new here so I need some help. My friend and I tryed to build a fuzzface and we failed miserably so I was wondering if someone can link me to some easy step by step guide for a begginers distortion pedal. Possibly with a 6 way swich because a 9 way is hard to get in my country. Thanks.

hi hanzi, and welcome...heres a nice simple distortion, using vero/strip board...nice easy build.

you can use a 6 way switch (dpdt) it just means you wont have an led on/off ok....

have you a breadboard?...have you used vero before?......i haven't a step by step guide, but i'm sure there will be plenty of help and advice from the guys on here too............

As I said I'm completely new to this so I've never build anything similar so treat me like a newbie. I get the bastard pedal exept for the the offboard wiring; I dont know where to connect it

just make sure you get your dc socket and jacks wired properly and your good to go!..


watch for cuts under C1  C3.........TIP: i put the image in photoshop and reverse it to see where my cuts have to go...mark with pen, use a 4-5m drill bit couple of turns (by hand) done...
just make sure those cuts are cut...use a magnifier on em.....and put your jumper wires on ther first, and use a socket for the ic......
