Neovibe help!

When I plug the jacks in I get a loud and constant waaahhhhh from my amp and nothing from my guitar, but i can like mute the strings to cut 90% of the wah noise out. Did I even get the right jacks? I've got mouser part # 502-111 and another question. When powered on the lamp works and pulsates slow or fast depending on the knob but aren't the LDRs supposed to react!? Like glow red or something? This is my first build and I'm surprised I made it this far but I'd like to get this thing working today if possible, any and all help would be appreciated!
