Hi,

I'd like to change the 110v to 12v power supply in the Carl Martin 3 band Parametric EQ that i have just bought.

The transformer that is built into the pedal is a dantrafo 115 - 2x12 2.4va transformer.  I'm looking to find the same size transformer except for 240v.

It might be easier to use a plug pack adapter / wall wart  for AC 12v and disconnect the adapter , but is a dual ac supply needed?

Any suggestions as to the best way to modify this pedal for 240v besides getting a stepdown transformer.

See attached pics

Cheers

As far as I can see from the copperside of the PCB it is dual supply: the 2 inner contacts on the secondary side of the transformer are joined and give you ground, the 2 outer secondary contacts are each separately going (at the backside of the stomp switch) to a bridge rectifier. There might be just enough space for a 240v transformer if you can find one of about the same size, or maybe you would have to turn it 90 degrees in order to fit, it is hard to see and judge from these pictures...
