Got one from a forumite , thanks PJP , i cut in a vreg that was missing and an nte 468 to replace the j111 .

at this point it passes signal but no echo . the hold or repeat led lights , but not right away , the echo led does not light . i am going to reseat all the chips in the mornin . just curious if anyone had experience with anything like this .

also is there a chance that the nte468 just aint cuttin the salami , instead of the actual j111 ?

thanks .

i HAVE tio get this thing working , its a long story , i wonder how though . i may have to seek assistance from a specialist , i doubt digitech services hese anymore , and ....

J111 is there so the 9V and VBias supplies will be delayed respect the 5V supply...
You may try with a manual switch instead of FET, and switch it on AFTER you supply power.

If you subbed J111 check the pinout!
I think any n-channel FET will work...

If you still have no echo, check U6 is switching properly...
If this IC or anything in the analog path work properly... then it will be a huge PITA

reseated the chips , again , this time i swapped the two 4007's , its echoing !

no echo led though , hmmm . gonna try cleaning the chip pins / reseating some more .

then its adjust the four trim pots time !

woo hooo !

thanks PJP , u got massive karma points headed your way man , the good kind !

well the led i put in is blown , its odd cause there is two leds , the one is reading 1.8 volts , while its soldered in and running , the other one , that blew , that one is 8.97 volts . i cut in a resistor and the led is going on and off with the switch .

the hold pedal , well that isnt working , the led for that ( the one that read 1.8 ) that is lighting up about 3-4 seconds after powerup , the hold switch does nothing , and that lamp stays lit .

before i reseated the chips , this lamp / switch would work as in the lamp would light , but ...

the j111 i replaced with a nte468 , the whole thing is working as it is without this pice installed at all ... maybe somethings up there . hmm .

stick with it bro, you'll sort it out!!

these digitechs are weird. i've had more luck getting 'em going by using a wart, and cleaning freaking everything...all the switches, including the ones on the input jack, all the connectors internally, the little switchy things under the footswitch pads, and then re-seating every single chip.

petey... one of them trimmers may adjust the voltage to make the switch work or something? you said they were all pegged.

really psyched ya got it working brother. i couldn't! ;)
