Thanks again man,

1. Reversing the lug to 1,2 instead of 3,2 sure changed the log response and made the GAIN knob react much better.
2. The distortion was from my amp I guess cause when I connect the filter directly to my soundcard it is quite clean.
3. The noise is not a whine, I did connect the 1-8 pins on the 7660 and I am using an "S" version. I also added the optional inductors 680uH so I think I am safe by the noise is just like hiss noise on the HP mode mostly. I am not worried about it as the circuit is not fully shielded yet.
4. I will get the Rx lower and see where I am.

Thanks, I think I can say that the unit sounds really good and I already enjoy it very much.
