1n34a germanium diodes  are they still available?   i see some have green and some have black markings, do they still exist  or is it like the fake bbd delay chips,
(the look like it but not the same?)
smallbear doesnt have any left only substitutes, which makes me think that ones on ebay may been close but not the real thing?
can anyone make suggestions provide info?

there's the ones with the green band, and mini ones, too...you need a jeweler's loupe to read the dang things!
