From looking at the back view, it's set up for the method that grounds the input when in bypass.
Looks like the numbering is as follows:

1 effect in
2 input jack tip
3 effect out
4 output jack tip
5 from LED
6 ground

7 is connected to 4, not sure what that's for.
If you want to check this look at wiring diagram for this sort of bypass.

Oh I didn't even think to email them...lol thanks for the interpretation! I'll test and see if it works out.

To me it looks like:

1 - Input jack tip
2 - Effect in (board in)
3 - LED/limiting resitor circuit
4 - Ground
5 - Effect out (board out)
6 - Output jack tip
7 - Additional ground??

True bypass connects 1 & 6, so 2 being effect in would be grounded to 4 in bypass (input grounded). Effect engaged connects 1-2 (jack tip to effect in), 3-4 to turn on led,
and 5-6 (effect out to output jack tip). Not sure about 7 either.

I think you're right, having 7 as an extra ground makes more sense than what I wrote. Either method will work though.
