Change 5k pot to 1k

Can someone help me with what value resistor is need to change a 5k B pot to a 1k B pot? I think it's 1k5, but I'm not sure. Any help is much appreciated.

^ that's because the members here are pretty damn nice...

but just a note...the sweep will change when you alter a pot, so the result will not technically be a 1KB

The bigger change you make, the bigger change in sweep. Ie, if you make a 100K into a 1K (with a 1.01K) it will not be the same as making a 5K into a 1K with a 1.2K. It'll be much further from the original sweep
