Hi all, I recently bought my first DIY pedal, a MkII Tone Bender clone, from pedalparts.co.uk. I've seen that it's possible to add a switch that can flip the pedal from a Tone Bender to a Fuzz Face and I'm interested in doing this to mine in the near future but I'm not quite sure how to do it. Can anyone help with this? The intructions for the specific clone are here > http://pedalparts.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/ToneBender.pdf so if anyone can explain how to do this can you refer to the schematic on these instructions please?

Thanks
Ben

ok here goes.  they say a picture is worth a thousand words, lets see if we can keep the word count to just under that...  :icon_eek:

with a dpdt,(you can use a 3pdt if you want led indication)

A     B      C

D     E      F

1. remove the input wire from the junction of c1 and c2 but leave c1 and c2 connected.
2. connect the input to E of the dpdt
3. connect D and C with a wire.
4. run a wire from F of the dpdt to the juction of c1 and c2 (where the input wire was)
5. dissconnect the side of c3 that goes to the junction of r2 and q1,leave r2 and q1 connected
6. run a wire from c3 (the side you removed in the last step) to C of the dpdt (itll be also connected to D via step 3 wire)
7. run a wire from B of the dpdt to the junction of r2 and q1. (where c3 was connected before you removed its connection in step 5)
-----thats it.  when b-c and e-f are connected on the dpdt itll be as normal tonebender
when switched and A-B  and  D-E are connected itll bypass the first transistor and be a fuzz face.
whew....
nothing says forever like a solid block of liquid nails!!!
