Anyone got any Marshall Guv'nor 2 mods?

After trying quite a few different od/distortion pedals (BOR, British, Rat, TS, heartbreaker, OCD...) I've come back to the Guv'nor 2.  I decided I'd buy another to mod and see if I can get any closer to the sound that haunts me.

After quite a bit of googling I could only find (for free) the c22 mod.

If anyone has any or knows where to find some, let me know.

I don't know of any specific mods, but a lot of it is the same as a Guv'nor so you could have a look for mods for that.

Here's a few things to try though. You can mess with the clipping LED's any of the normal combinations of diodes should work, the Shred Master which is basically the same up to that point as the Guv'nor uses silicon diodes instead of LEDs.

I think the tonestack can be modelled in Duncans tone stack calculator so you could have a look at tweaking that.

What kind of mods are you after? What is that sound that haunts you  ?
Appart from the clipping diodes and tonestack, the circuit is very close to the bluesbreaker, for which you can find quite a few mods that can be applied to the guvnor as well.

If the Govn'r 2 is close or the same as the original Govn'r...

You could always look into the Danelectro Daddy-O OD pedal as they as almost identical

I like the amount of gain and normally set it between 11 and 2, so I'm not looking for higher gain mods. I think changing the tone stack might be a good place to start. I'd like it to be clearer, for want of a better word, eq-wise. Maybe more high mids.

Has anyone tried Fet clipping instead of LEDs? What affect would that have?

Has anyone tried getting rid of the deep control?
