Hey, I'm trying to build a footswitch for my amp using this schematic and I have a few questions.  How are the leds powered? Where do the positive and negative leads of the (9 volt?) battery go? Anything else I need to know about the circuit? Thanks.

The LEDs are powered by the signal from the amp on the red and white wires, no need for a battery.
The switching works like this. The amp puts out some voltage, when the switch is open, this powers the LED and the voltage also controls something in the amp telling it the reverb or tremolo is on. When the switch is closed it shorts out the LED turning it off, it also pulls the voltage coming from the amp down to 0 volts, the amp reads this turns the reverb or tremolo off.

Do you know that this sort of switch works with this amp? I couldn't find a schematic to check.

Thanks, slacker. Wired it up today and it works perfectly. Should work with the AC30 custom series too.
