btw I'm using a LM567... not an LMC567.   I am guessing this is a major part of the problem.   Do you think if I pick up a few LMC567CM/NOPB it would cure the problem?

I am just not getting how if it is wired for "TRUE BYPASS"... why would the effect circuit be leaking in.  I thought that the 3PDT switch when in BYPASS mode simply connects the input to the output on the board and allows the signal to get to the amp just as though it were plugged straight in with a single patch cable.  How is the CMOS chip leaking into a closed circuit?  Through the ground I imagine, but just doesn't make sense to me yet...

any and all help is major appreciated ....   helppppppppppppp  lol

Has anyone tried building one with a BA1604 ?
Seems really similar, might be worth a try.

when you say put back the cap and resistor - what did you use to get rid of the bleed? - cheers!  ;)
