need help with lpb-1 hum problem

I just built a lpb 1 from the beavis schematic. When I use it on the clean channel on my amp all is well. When I use the distortion channel  on my amp then I hear a very loud hum type buzz noise.

My amp is a peavey vypyr 75watt.

Any idea why it works on the clean channel and buzzes on the distortion?
