Gain Pot Help

Hi Folks,

I have been reading these forums for months and have found so much great information, but this is my first time post.

I built a tube screamer stripboard and connected it up outside an enclosure and it worked great.  I then put it in the enclosure and nothing.  I removed it and connected it back up again and now the only time sound gets through is when the gain pot is at zero (no resistance), then the slightest increase and it dies.  I'm sure it may be a problem that many have had before but it's got me confused  .  Does anybody know what this is?

If it worked fine before you boxed it, there's a good chance it's a wiring problem. If you used solid core wires some of them may have come loose from a bad solder joint.
Check for bad solder joints and re-solder them if need be.
