Hi everyone.
I was looking for some interesting fuzz pedal to build and found this on the forum : http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=46690.0
I read everything on the thread there and started gathering the components. Bought most of them so far but had a little difficulty with one of the capacitors.
In the drawing of the circuit there is a 33mf cap by the volume pot (middle) drawn as non polarized but in a reply later "lowstar" wrote that : 33µ + to the vol pot. ( i think that the scheme was edited last with all the changes suggested in the later replies so it should be accurate)
I have been to a couple of shops and i couldnt find any 33mf cap that is non polarized and the people there also laughed at me saying that it would have been huge but in one of the places the owner had some 10mf aluminum that didnt have sides so he suggested i get three and connect them in a row..
Anyway I got these and also some polarized alum 33mf just in case. I am new to electronics and learning as i go maybe someone more experienced may clear this problem for me?

it's a positive ground circuit, which fooled me for a sec.

you can use a normal electro and put the positive side on the volume pot connection.

by the way you can get non-polar electros at 33uF and higher, and you can make one by joining two polarised caps neg to neg in series, each of twice the value required.

by the way, to me mF means millifarad, not microfarad, so i'd use uF to be safe.

Thanks for clearing this out for me!!! I will put the polarized cap there.
Sorry about the mistake with the "µ" symbol ill use "u" from now on.
That is a neat trick you told me about joining two! By twice the value you mean that in my case for example i would have used two 66uF?
