There is a PDF floating around somewhere that has typical parts (enclosures, jacks, leds, pots, knobs etc...) I had it at one time and I can't seem to locate it now.

the parts were generally 1:1 size ratio which made plotting out a box before assembly rather nice.

Any help is appreciated.

Does this mean I'm not going to have to pull out my micrometer to measure new hardware every time I layout a box?

It never dawned on me to keep all of this info in one easily accessible place! I would pull up a PDF for each new piece.

Definitely a time saver!
I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)

tip: make a template in inkscape or whatever for the box type you use hammond/eddystone (there are slight differences)

download the enclosure's pdf for the inner/outer dimensions..1590b/1590bb etc etc..

then everything is 'actual size'.

a real time saver, and can be used for drill templates too. ;) makes for a neat job.

Hey Rob,

I do make templates for each build. It makes all of the difference in the world for a superior layout. I use Visio. In the beginning, I was putting blue tape and measuring every box!! What a pain!! What was I thinking?

I like this pdf idea for pre build/template reference. One quick glance and all of the info is in one place. I keep different PDF folders semi organized by component type, but as I said for quick reference, this PDF is a good idea.

GGG has PDF drill templates for a few of the popular enclosures and Inkscape iworks great for modifying (unprotected) PDF's.

...and Goefex has a nice pdf guide for 150bb boxes with various parts. I used the Geofex guide to create similar templates for the various boxes of other sizes that i use.
