i'v been trying to build a bluesbreaker clone from general guitar gadgets for the last few day and i finely got everything together and painted the enclosure and of course it doesn't work.
i checked the voltage and before i started messing with it trying to problem shoot it myself i had the correct voltage on all pins except number 8 on 8 i had 4.3 instead of what ever the 9 volt has like it should be.
i used different 9 volts and checked and i have everything in the right place on the board and wires run correctly.
i will say the the soldering is not as nice as i would like but they all seem solid and i have checked every ground i can find.

also when i test the voltage it reads low except after i plug it in to the amp after that if i unplug it from the amp and test it it reads the correct voltage on every pin except 8 is that normal?
so i guess my question is what could be wired wrong making me only have half power on pin 8?

Be prepared to have the next post point to the debugging thread.

But any chance u could throw up pictures. Especially your switch wiring.
If your not even getting bypass then u must have miswired something

there aren't any markings or anything saying which way the damn thing is supposed to go lol.
thanks for you help.

This is a good time to make yourself a test box that will let you connect to a project board BEFORE putting it into an enclosure.  A simple box with a couple of jacks with wires that have aligator clips at the end and a battery snap with alligator clips is all you need.  Build your next project with the I/O and Power leads a little bit long, then connect everything with the alligator clips so you can test the circuit before it is in the enclosure.  That way you can be sure the circiut works, and if it doesn't, it is significantly easier to troubleshoot.

The catch phrase I've read is: "Rock it before you box it!"  Good advice and worth the effort.
