I have seen these go from $200 to $500 on ebay... Are they worth it...? I think NOT but I thought somebody may find it interesting since you don't see these too often... They do sound really good from the sound clips if you like that Edge/U2 sound!

Anybody built this?

My vero layout is verified as well:

Leave out R17 or use a higher value like 2m2 or so...

It's a great little tool, the controls are quite flexible. I have it at the end of my chain, just to cut out some bas frequencies or to boost my AC-15.
But it works really good in front of overdrive pedals as well.
Highly recommended!

A user on the now-defunct Bossarea Forum, and now the replacement "Stompbox Zone" forum, named "Laurie", made a line of boutique pedals called Dingotone, and he made a run of FA-1 clones that were supposed to be great.  He only made a small batch of them, and they got scooped up fast.  He has now turned his business over to another user on the Stompbox Forum, and retired from commercial pedal building.  It was mentioned there that the Boss version is very rare and expensive these days.

That is a nice board! I think smallbear has the HA1457 SIP Hitachi chip and the 2sk246-GR FET...

No activity from EUREKAIV since July 01, 2011...  :icon_frown:

The silkscreen on the PCBs say "Germicon Effects"...http://www.germicon.com/

Looks like a nice little project for a self build and something i could use if it sounds as good as some of the clip on you tube.
Save to favorites, put on a back burner until i get more bits and make it a future first IC/fet project.
What do you think?
Ma throats as dry as an overcooked kipper.

Nobody needs the HA1457 and the 2sk246. Why use noisy old parts if there are better new ones available? Mojo bullshit...  ::)
I used a LM833 and a J201, most other dual opamps and n-channel jfet's will work

You're right!.. I was just going by that 2 sided pcb that EUREKAIV created using the original parts..  I will go with your design but I am going to draw it for pcb. I have plenty lm833's and j201's.

...but don't forget to use a 0.47µF film cap where the layout has a "47µF non-polar". Maybe you could increase the leg spacing to 5mm.

Well, that's good to know cause I am fresh out of "47µF non-polar" caps ;)
