I really like what blackout guys did here with this add of a effect order switch

Can someone explain how could i possibly apply this to some of my own 2in1 dirt boxes?

Hi Miša,

One way to do it is a Flipper switch. See a quarter of the way down the page below:

Good luck,

Thank you Christopher.

I think this is a very stupid thing to ask, but will this work even if use dpdt's with millenium 2 bypass?

I've been whining about this stuff for years.  I still have no idea why any of the various small companies that make loop-selector units haven't started including an order-flipper for two of the loops; it's such a simple thing.

I recently made myself a little dual loop-selector with an order-flipper switch so that loop A can go before loop B, or B before A.

The real virtue of this sort of thing is that it permits one to effectively rewire a pedalboard, without having to tear it down and repatch.

Hi Miša,

You need three poles to enact the flip function.

There is a solution with indicator LEDs on this page:

http://www.beavisaudio.com/techpages/

but the actual article seems to be not working at the moment.

You could also use CD4053 or CD4066 analogue switch chips to add poles to your SPDT or DPDT stomp switch. See here:

http://tech.thetonegod.com/switches/switches.html

and here:

http://members.shaw.ca/roma/switching.html

under "Using the CMOS 4053", although note that where he says, "All resistors 100k except where indicated", it should read "1M." I've found that the 4066 is easier, however, as you don't need to pull all the unused pins down to ground as you do with the 4053.

I would use 3pdt switch for effect order and dpdt's with millenium 2 for bypassing effects. I'm not so sure about cmos switching, for now I find it to be really confusing.
