Hello!

I am building an EA Tremolo(kind of finished it) but i hated how it clipped the signal and how it lowered the bass.

So the first thing i did was too replace R3 for a lower resistor but then i realized that i might have had a wrong resistor there and i put a 150k resistor and that seems to have solved it.

But how do i make the bass higher? Do i replace the Input(C8) and output(C2) Capacitors?

Should that do the trick?

I included the schematic.

Thanks in advance.

Honey, let's sell the children, move to Zanzibar and start taking Opium, rectaly.

Shouldn't.

C8 R15 R16 ~~ 7Hz
(C9) C1 R3 etc ~~ 8Hz
C2 R12 ~~ 13Hz
R5 C3 ~~ <42Hz

You could try a larger C3, but 42Hz is plenty-big for guitar.

My 2 cents is on a wrong value somewhere.

As for clipping: voltages would tell much.

That might be it, i'll double check everything then!

I didn't use the original transistors that the schematic said since they don't exist here.
Do the transistors have something to do with the clipping and bass?

Q3=BC550 instead of 2N5088
Q2,Q4=F245a instead of 2N5457
Q1=2n3904 as said on the schematic

I already changed C8 for 0.1uf and C2 for 1uf and the sine wave got a little weird.

+1

I built the ROG version and if anything there is a slight bass boost - sounds lovely.

I FIXED IT!

I found a voltage listing of the transistors and i noticed how the voltage for Q3 wasn't right so i replaced it and it worked!

I also changed C2 for a 100nf Capacitor since i just needed that right amount of bass and i like how it sounds now!

Thanks PRR, for mentioning the voltages!

Loving this forum so far.
