Can this pedal be turned into anything other than an eq? Like a frequency fuzz or anything really.

Hey, EQ's are really powerful!

Try sticking it infront of a fuzz and varying the amounts of lows or mids, can make for some really interesting fuzztones.

It'll also do funny oscillation stuff if you stick it in a feedback looper.

Thirty some years ago, I used to do a reverse tape sound, using my MXR 6-band.  First, I'd compress the signal to keep it fairly even over a longer period, and "corrupt" the envelope.  Then I'd feed it into my MXR Envelope Filter with the Attack time set for the slowest possible rise (which was exaggerated by the compression).  I'd feed that to the 6-band with all the lows killed, and the highs maxed out.  Since the filter sweeps up, the initial part of the sweep would be somewhat quieter than normal, because the EQ was killing the lows.  As it swept upward, the volume would appear to increase, and also get brighter, plus a little more overdriven (the MXR 6-band had a nice overdrive to it).  Keep in mind that most of the harmonic content of a plucked note is at the beginning, so a more realistic reverse-tape sound can't just be a volume swell; it has to have more harmonic content as it goes along, and this accomplished it.

These days, I'd use reverse-delay in a heart beat, but that old setup kicked the ass of something like a Slow Gear, back before we had digital delay pedals to play with.

Yeah when messing around with a jumper/wire i found a self oscillating mod where its esentialy a tone generator, each fader is its own frequency generator. But i want to turn it into something you can play through. Basicly changing the whole vibe, although i love your guys suggestions, ty
