So I am going to be putting a phase 90 build together in a short while.

I built RGs I jfet matcher using the layout from http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.com/2012/07/jfet-matcher.html

Things seem to work correctly, but I've seen a few posts with people getting greater than 1v with these trannies.

All mine are measuring 300mv to 590mv

It's this ok? I'm fairly positive I built the match correctly. I used the suggested components

I checked the datasheet for the Fairchild 5952s and saw that with the flat side facing you legs down the pinnout is G-S-D so I placed the flat side facing left in the top 3 sockets.

JFETs ... vary.   :icon_biggrin:

I would have expected bigger, but I've seen them down to 0.6V.

I measured 30 of them and they are all in that range.

So it is feasible that it is working properly then?

I have 3 that measure 372mv and another at 375mv. Assuming my matcher is functioning properly would those be fairly well matched?

Go for it. The only issue you may find is a kind of hang-up at the top and bottom of the sweeps. If that happens, post back and we can work on it.

Should have it finished tomorrow.  I'll hope for the best.

Thanks RG

Update:

They work great. Sounds awesome.

The only "problem" is that I used a 25 turn trimmer and trying to decide on the sound I like best. :)
