So in an effort to cut down on breadboard casualties, I've decided to do a simulation of every design I make before prototyping....what is the best dedicated software for audio electronics simulation - cost no object, I'd rather invest in this than spend hours over non working perf layouts. Any suggestions?

Hi

Do you have a tablet? In this case I d advice'every circuit'.

It is dead easy to enter the schematic(part select ->rotate to correct orientation->position part correctly, change value if needed)

After your schematic is drawn complete save it to a new name, then you may start the circuit after having an input signal

lets say 500Hz at 100mV for guitar. You get an alert if you forgot to ground some part of the circuit however sometimes you

notice one transistor gets sinewave in,but none out. So the bias is not correct ,however this starts to show also the limits of

the program. You can't select a AC128 or a BC550. You just have a generic NPN or PNP type! And via parameters you can change

obscure values of the transistor like base to emiter resistance that you won't find in a datasheet.(Maybe calculate at some voltage)

So in my opinion ,I can just use this specific program first to very easily draw a schematic with easy available parts.

Simulation wise it works quit correctly even for example a tube sound fuzz with inverters is rendered correctly. But it does in

no way replace a breadboard . Probable PC software like LT-spice give more accurate results AND more needed parameters.

Hope that helped!
