Hi all,

I'm a newbie!
I've just finished my DIY big muff
I would like to use a wall wart instead of the 9 V battery
What are the minimum and the maximum DC voltage I can use?

Thanks
IK

you answered your own question :) use a 9VDC adapter.

It should be a regulated AC adapter or it could put out considerably more than 9V if lightly loaded. A marginally designed pedal might get damaged from overvoltage if it's seeing more than the ratings of the caps/chips/etc in it. Like if you stuck a unregulated 1000mA 9V power supply on a single 9V pedal with 16V caps, it might actually see maybe 18 volts. I'm sure everyone is using these 1-Spots these days, but you never know...  :icon_wink:

Thank you Paul,

I'll try using a computer brick PS that gives 12 VDC  1.5A
Hope it will not burn anything!
