I knew there were two separate amps, thats why I thought it so nice that I only needed one opamp for this because it would replace one tube (two triodes).   But then others said that I needed to adjust bias and impedance and that my design would need to be changed pretty drastically (unless I was misunderstanding...)  and then that distortion would be bad with an opamp, since i only had about 9V headroom. So frankly, I'm pretty confused,  I feel like a noob... sorry I'm just confused I think is my problem, anyway if you keep elaborating on my case and helping I think I'll get it soon.  I understood the pins and two different amps in one opamp, but a lot of the other stuff is a bit confusing.

Look for the schematic for the Champ 25SE;

Cool, looks pretty interesting, I never knew Fender made any hybrid amps.

Well, no offense, but you are a noob. So am I. All that means is we should learn about other circuits that already exist and sound good before scratching out our own designs.

Again, no offense, but I don't think you do understand. I'm not referring to the number of op amps, I'm referring to the number of inputs on ONE op amp. Each single, individual op amp has TWO inputs. An inverting input (the signal comes out 180 degrees out of phase with the input) and a non-inverting input, maked with a + and a -. This is the whole point of an op amp. It's not a tube. A 4558, a LM358, a TL072, a NE5532, all of these are DUAL op amps, which means there are a total of 4 inputs (two pairs of two). A FET, a BJT, has ONE input, like a triode. Look closely at ROG's op amp designs, you'll see both inputs being used. Look closely at what you drew, there is only one input being used.

You won't easily find better tube amp inspired circuits online than ROG, why not just build some of those FIRST, or breadboard them?
