decal faux pas

I've had a decal drying for a day and a half, and I've just noticed that some of the graphics are in completely the wrong place.  "Measure twice, drill once"?  I don't think I even came close...   

Is there any chance of removing the decal without going back to the bare metal?  Will it soak off cleanly?  Or do you all have the prospect of witnessing a slightly embarrassing post in the Pictures thread sometime quite soon...

It will soak off fine. Just put it face down in a plate of water for a little while.
Sh!t happens.

Thanks John - I'll give that a try.  I didn't know if I'd be wasting my time in case it might have dried solid.  ...Or ruined my pristine paint job!
