Is it just me, or Tayda Screwing up on Orders?

I got my orders today and upon inspection, I found two DC 2.1mm Jacks missing thier outer housings.  On Tayda's website, the item description clearly shows a plastic outer housing with the DC jacks.  These jacks without the outer housings are "useless".  I've emailed Tayda and attached this photo.  This is the second screw up this month, the first was for couple of missing Max1044 chips and this....  What is going with Tayda these days?  I've been ordering from them for about two years without any order errors and all of a sudden two order screw ups in one month?  Tayda becoming like Mammoth?  :icon_mrgreen:

This is Tayda's description of the DC jack, clearly showing the housing.  Item# A-4573

It's just you!

It's because you start threads bagging on Tayda. (which Aron moves to the Lounge)

Tayda constantly scans DIYstompboxes and picks out the members who are "getting out of line", then starts shorting their orders.

First it's just an item or two, just enough to be an inconvenience. Then they "lose" whole orders, credit your money, and leave you hanging without stomp box parts and your cash!

It's a grand conspiracy I tell you!
Very soon all parts suppliers will follow suit! It will be next to impossible to voice a complaint online about a missing DC plug housing!

You'll be left at the mercy of emailing the parts supplier and working it out with them! Imagine that! No more online venting!

All because you started this thread!  ;D
I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)

Oh....ship......  You know, you maybe on to something.  Every since I mentioned about my missing max1044, the next order also had errors.  This goes with several mammoth orders I had...you think mammoth and tayda has been exchanging notes? :icon_eek:

That's funny. At least the screw ups were in the customers' favor in terms of value.

The only screw up I've ever had was when I ordered 20 10k resistors from Mouser and received 20,000!  I notified them and they asked me to ship 19,000 back at their cost.  They only charged me for the 20 that I ordered and the correct shipping charge.

i got a 1/4 inch jack with the wrong hardware once , what miffed me was the 1590a's i got instead of the ones i ordered that they were out of stock on ....

I've had as many screwups with Tayda as I've had with Mouser or Small Bear. With Tayda it was missing washers/nuts from their pots. I complained about it and all of my future orders contained extra baggies of nuts/washers. With Mouser it was wrong items, and with Small Bear it was missing items. It's always a let down to have your order screwed up, but how they resolve it is what matters. Every one of them has earned repeat business because they are stand up folks about it. I've worked in customer service in the audio field for almost a decade now, and mistakes happen on a daily basis. I can't fault mistakes. I can fault poor communication, and a lack of follow through on resolving the problems. All of the companies I mentioned are fantastic in that regard.
