Volume Pedal w/ Min Pot

Been away from here for a while, was building a mini tube amp.

Converting an old crybaby wah into a volume with a pot to adjust for a minimum volume in up position.

The wah pot is 100k, I think linear. I have a 100k pot between it and ground as a variable resistor. It gives me some adjustment, but looking for the min to be louder. I was thinking of changing to a 500k pot. Would that do the trick or am I setting it up wrong. Can't find a schematic for a passive pedal with a min volume.

Suggestions?
