Help with trobleshooting EHX POG

I have a friend whose POG died on him.  It still lights up, but that's about it.  I took it home last night and opened it up just before bed...aye caramba...its all SMD. 

I am going to do my best to troubleshoot the obvious, but does anyone out there have one that could provide me with some transistor values for a working POG?

Is it an original one? I have one, but I don't have any schematics or a component list.

If it's completely dead, then my guess is a dead IC, or maybe the microprocessor got killed or many/most of the active components are dead from someone plugging the wrong power supply into it. If that is the case, slim chance you'll fix it without major work.

You could start by plugging the correct power supply into it and then measuring voltages at the voltage regulators. I'm assuming there will be some 5V regulators on there somewhere. If that checks out, then you'll need to get data sheets for all the IC chips and verify if they are getting the right voltages.

You could also try to audio probe it, but without a schematic it's taking a blind stab in the dark...

Thanks, Paul.  It is an original POG, I think, and I have had no luck with finding the schematics yet.

I sent a guy with a broken POG to a small French Manufacter who was able to repair it . maybe he could help you as well .

actually I'd prefer to post it here but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do it . It's a kind of hacked EHX schematic found on the internet so....

but actually there's nothing really analog in the POG. The main circuit is based on a DSP.

Can't see any harm posting it if it can possibly help people fix broken ones. You could just post the parts that might be of help, I can't see anyone complaining about that.
