Adding an extra LED and footswitch to feedback looper?

I made this....

and it actually worked (apart from the power for the LED, but that's a different story...)

after using it, I decided it would be better if the SPDT flip switch was replaced with a footswitch so I can activate the feedback circuit while playing. It would also need an extra LED to show that it's on.
So using my extremely rudimentary knowledge and drawing skills, I made this diagram:


So would it work? I'm not sure if the cable from 5 to 6 on the DPDT is necessary and not all sure about powering the second LED.

Well if anyone's interested, my plan wouldn't work. I found this one that did:

and to a newbie, I think the design of this circuit is much easier to understand.



Here's the finished article, works really well for making feedback (especially with phasers).
