Hey,

I've been going through multitudes of effect pedal layouts which include resistor values but, is there going to be a difference between using 1/2 and 1/4 watt types?  I haven't seen a schematic that centers in on this.  Maybe I'm answering my own question but, I thought it might matter, seeing that the wattage differs by 1/4.

Are you saying that I put an abnormal brain into a seven and a half foot long, fifty-four inch wide GORILLA?

Generally for effect pedals 1/4 watt resistors are all you need, 1/2 watt resistors are larger and require more space but allow for higher wattage to be run through them..

either will be fine in most situations..

craigmillard is right. And most PCBs, fabricated or even if you etch it yourself from a layout, will most likely be design around 1/4w (smaller).
Using 1/2w (bigger) would probably give you a hard time fitting everything on the board.
