Ive got the cab sim already out on a breadboard just waiting for TDA2822D  to arrive.

My theory is that it is meant to add some mojo in there, as film cap in parallel supposedly lowers ESR of electrolytic (it can, but I never got to listen a side-by-side comparison).

Because audiophools believe high frequencies magically 'go through' the smaller cap instead of the bigger one.
They don't. That's not how electronics works.

I have no idea if the chip will like having the 2 inputs tied together. If it doesn't mind that, then it's a good scheme. Then there's maybe no need for reducing the volume pot as low as 1k, although again, I've no idea what effect a shared 1k pulldown will do versus separate 10k pulldowns.
If R33 ends up less than 10k, then C25 might need to be bigger. I wouldn't be afraid to use a polarized type if it does.

Long answer is: they drink the koolaid. Saying electrolytics bad, but all is forgiven with a film cap. Forgetting that there are already 12-1,200 electrolytics in the path from sound to head, and one more is insignificant.

the original astrosim idea did have a headphone vol control....but i changed it at the last minute...

pot lug 1 to vb.

i see so basically remove r16 (6.8k) and R31 (100K)   and shove a pot in  bleeding signal to VB
