Modulation Circuit Recommendation?

I don't use a lot of modulation pedals, but I am getting a little bored of dirt boxes. Any recommendations for modulation pedals? I mostly play in church (pre-pandemic anyway), which calls to mind a certain sound.

The one thing I am considering for sure is a Mutron Phasor II for tortured lead lines. Have not decided whether to do vero or use the pedalpcb board.

Flanger maybe?

This is what I already have for modulation:

Boss CE-5 - least used pedal, but I am curious if any of the PT2399 choruses are any good
Dunlop UniVibe - it works for me, not planning to build a vibe right now
Demeter Tremulator - plan to replace with a bajaman trembulator

Dimension-P.  I've built a few and like it a lot.  A search should find a thread and schematics.

I'll blow my own trumpet and mention the FilterFX, since you haven't got any filter modulation effects on your list.

First developed in a thread here, obviously, because what are friends for if not to bounce ideas off? ;)

Not sure if it's appropriate for church, but if God likes funky or experimental, I guess it's fine. There's sound samples, so give it a listen.

Usual disclaimers apply: There are other filter modulation pedals available. Druid filter modulation may not improve your intelligence or sex life, aid weight loss, or make you a better person. The value of your investment may go down as well as south, etc.

Tom, my dyslexia kicks in every time I see that STOMPLFO. I keep seeing STOMP FLO... dang you!

Yeah, the TAPFLO/TAPLFO was the same thing. It seems our brains just can't cope with those letters that way around. "FLO" would make much more sense...so many more (English) words have that series of letters, whereas "LFO" doesn't really appear unless "Ballfoot" becomes a popular sport.

And as of today, apparently Aion is selling a Tri-vibe rts-pcb.

ROG Tri-vibe.

Good choice, Ben.  8)
Indeed : easy build, and very good sound.

Madbean Glam chorus is also an easy, good sounding circuit.
Frequency Central Causality4 Phaser is excellent, too.

I think my ability to play funky is the limiting factor there. Definitely some interesting sounds. I live fairly far north - does that increase the investment value?

The tri-vibe looks like something I could at least breadboard without ordering any parts.

The Causality 4 might be just what I am looking for. From some of the sound samples, it seems like it could get close enough to the Mutron sound I am after.

Good choice. Rick's phaser's are more than a little famous on this site. I *think* he's done one of pretty much every type going. Definitely knows his way around a phase-shifter.

Let me fix that for you:

Yes, Rick knows his phasers.
