Why? GND is on the sleeve, signal on the tip. Isn't it correct?

@bukas: that is GND (sleeve to sleeve).
Apparently I have solved the problem: I replaced the input jack (again..twice) and now it works perfectly. It might have been a bad soldering as well, I don't know.

Anyway, thank you very much to all of you for the help!!

you dont need that, they are connected trough chassis

I was thinking the same thing earlier today, for example tonepad wiring diagrams state that, but knowing nothing about electronics I didn't dare not to do it :)
