I got a complaint from a commercial builder that some of these parts did not give the depth that he wanted in his build. I looked at our stock, found two different date codes and sent parts to Silonex for testing.

It turns out that we have pieces that were made in two different plants: D/C 2010 Do meet the published factory spec for minimum dark resistance, but that turns out not to be enough for good results in a phase shifter. I have given these a new SKU of 2506G and reduced the price to below cost. They are first-quality, usable for trems, not usually available at this price. D/C 2509 remains SKU 2506B, and I have noted that these have the much higher dark resistance that gives the "notch" expected in a phaser or vibrato.

Silonex (now part of Advanced Photonix) has assured me that I can order the high dark resistance parts when I buy again.
