Hello!
Turns out this is my first post, I think my others vanished  ???.  Hope this is in the right forum anyway....

Basically I've been using one of these to drill holes in the pcb http://www.maplin.co.uk/pcb-spiral-push-drill-219909

It's tiring and annoying, so I'm wanting to drop some cash on something decent.  I was thinking about getting one of those cheap pillar drills from Wickes/B&Q/Whatever for about £60 so I could drill both PCBs and enclosures but I'm actually more than happy hand drilling the enclosure with my power drill and step bit, don't seem to have any accuracy issue with that and if I do it's negligible.

SO.... to the meat....  Something to make the PCB drilling easier....
Proxxon FBS 240/E http://www.proxxon.com/en/micromot/28472.php?list
Proxxon Micromot 50 http://www.proxxon.com/en/micromot/28500.php?list

Either of these with the associated drill stand but, which one?! One's 240V one's 12V, one goes down to a slightly smaller collet size - that's actually the only difference I can see.

Any help appreciated and any other suggestions, I think I've pretty much ruled out the dremels....  I think in total the Proxxon setup will be about £100 so anything in a similar price range, obviously something that can do enclosures as well would be great but the main thing is the PCBs....

Cheers!

PS - I have used the search functions on the forum and google to get as much knowledge on PCB drilling as possible.

I have a similar 240v Proxxon and I can only vouch for their quality. The matching drill stand is also very stable and acurate. Definitely more than these cheap pillar drills.
