Can anyone give this a once over to check my sanity.

I might be completely off course. Maybe I missed it but where's the transistors 9v supply?
Excuse me if I'm wrong as I'm no expert

Nope did the same thing when I breadboarded it was irritated till I slapped myself in the face.

Truthfully I already have a 13 x 9 board so I'm just going to run a wire from the hole on 6 to the Q1 drain track

I have just verified this. So it's good to go.

Verified ish the gain wires need to be switched around. although they are correct according to the schem.

Love this thing, much louder than expected.

Seems louder through my 1x12 Hot Rod Deluxe speaker than my 4x12 mesa cab
