Tonebender 3-knob - Fuzz dials wrong way - Help

Hello,

I have built a 3 knob Tonebender and am confused over the Fuzz knob. The fuzz increases when I dial the knob left. I tried swapping the wires around on pin 1 and 3 but it is still dials the wrong way. How can this be? What can I do to get the fuzz working the right way round?

Pretty much used the Fuzz Central schematic at http://fuzzcentral.ssguitar.com/3knob.php

It's sounding totally sweet, just this one issue

It's what the wiper (pin 2) is connected to that matters.  According to the diagram, pin 2 should be connected to pin 1 so that clockwise decreases resistance.  If that's how it's wired and it's working backwards, just move pin 2 over to pin 3.

I have wired it up as shown in this sketch on Dropbox. Are you saying I need to change the 2-3 connection to a 1-2 connection and move wire to 2 on to 3?

Yes - or for the second part instead of moving 2 to 3, move 1 to 3 - that way you don't have to touch the double connection on 2.  Either way it will work the same.

Hi,

thanks for the advice. Tried this but I lose all fuzz when in this position. I have now switched back, and had then lost all volume. Think I managed to over heat the POT I have now replaced the POT and back to original wiring. The sound is back to how it should be. For the moment I'm going to live with the Fuzz the wrong way round. I will try wiring the other way on my next one and see how it goes.

Update: GGBB you are absolutely correct. God knows what I am doing to thes pots, as I managed to break another one. So I replaced it again. This time wired up as you said, and now dials the correct way. Thanks for your advice, much appreciated
