I meant the regulator will be hot. if yr cap is hot, you in trubble. you can/really should stick a heatsink, as big as you can fit, on that reg.

if your o/d works/sounds good, and then you add something and it sounds bad/crap/buzz/electric, it will most likely be the something you've added/changed doing the bad stuff. look for wiring error.
