Help identifying an older 2-transistor fuzz/distortion

I finally got back to finishing a rack-based "distortion universe" I had been building for some time.  It has two 6-circuit clusters of 2 and 3-knob distortions of various topologies, selectable via a rotary switch, for instant comparison.  It was intended as more of a studio unit for being able to search for a needed sound, than anything for gigging purposes.

I had been away from it for long enough that when I started working on it again yesterday I had to figure out what the individual fuzzes were.  I managed to nail them all down, except for one that I have not been able to identify.  The parts are wedged in so tightly, and the print so small, that even with decent lighting and my magnifier headset I can't see the transistor numbers.  But here is what I can tell you.  It appears to be two cascaded NPN gain stages, with a 2M2 resistor between base and collector, and a 100k from collector to +9v, if that sounds in any way familiar.  Because it is built on perfboard, I can't use existing PCB or vero layouts.  It seems like the sort of thing pinkjimi would have posted, but I'm not absolutely certain.  I'm fairly confident it is an older commercial circuit, and not a forum-member original.  I just can't seem to find it in my vast collection of schematics.

Any help would be appreciated.  More details once I get home tonight.

I don't remember what the thread was titled where you were asking for suggestions to add to the "universe", but.....
if you can locate that thread...it might help jog your memory.

I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)

Excellent strategy!

Aaaaannnnndddd.....BINGO!  It's the Knight Fuzz: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=99677.0

Thanks, Larry.  I owe you one.

With all of the help you've given me both on site and off.....I owe you!

Glad I can help a bit.

Don't worry.  When it is fully wired up and functional, I'll be happy to show it off.

i think it was, mark.

hey... i gotta bizzarre little fuzz you may like if you have room. 7 components total. (including two transistors)

sounds kinda like ..... AC/DC. ;)
