Hey guys I'm new to this & just discovered this forum but hope to make it a regular hangout so please be gentle. How I came to be here starts with me looking at various high profile guitar racks while researching putting together my own whilst doing this I noticed several users choosing to remount existing pedal electronics into a rack environment (a land Pete Cornish) I figured I could do this myself with some kind of boost pedal. My main stalling point would be switching as I am hoping to trigger the unit from my txt Unit which has an external fx trigger facility I'm guessing it would not be as simple as replacing the exsisting switch with a socket.Any ideas on this would be much appreciated thanks in advance Col

Welcome to the forum!   Here's what I'd do - not knowing how much electronics background you have - I would go find the Beginner Project and put that together.   Learn from it, get a feel for the soldering iron and what kinds of parts to purchase.  Make an audio probe...learn to read real schematics, right up front.

Talk to others, get many ideas and input, learn how to troubleshoot the things you build.

Establish some goals along the way...what kind of distortion, overdrive, boost etc. do you want to rack up?

After a while you'll gain enough skill to start putting the custom effects you want together, and then you'll learn to chain them inside an enclosure.  And to control them remotely (footswitch).  But it takes time and effort to understand what's going on and do it right.    It's not VERY hard, and is very interesting for the right people, so stick around and read a lot!! Don't be afraid to ask questions.    :icon_mrgreen:
