All the carbide bits i've seen have a 1/8" base, with those use the 1/8" collet chuck and you shouldn't see any wobble, with an adjustable chuck i always had wobble which spells the end of the carbide bit.

The length of the bit adds to the overall flexibility I only allow maybe a 1/4 in of the bit to be exposed the more bit the more wobble and I use the smallest collett on the dremel but I was referring to the type of cutoff wheel I use I don't like the standard ones I like the quick change ones they don't slip!
