adding a second (stereo) ouput to echo pedal.

I thought I would find all kinds of solutions to this when I searched but nada.  Seems simple, my AD3208 echo pedal has a single mono output and I want to add a second stereo out like so many echo and reverb pedals have.  I'm guessing it's not as simple as just adding a second jack and jumping signal off the existing out jack??  Anybody point me in the right direction.  My intension are simple enough...the ad3208 is last in my pedal chain and i want to run 2 amps.  THANKS

If you're thinking something like the DMM, it has an effect out and a dry out. Check out the AMZ buffer splitter:

Use the second schematic with the multiple outputs. You could tack that on the end to get two wet outs or tack it onto the beginning with one output going to a dry out and the other buffer going into the circuit itself. There may be an easier way, if you post the schematic of your pedal, we could see if you could just take the signal from part of the existing circuitry.

here's the schematic  http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/diagrams/ad3208_schematic.pdf

Mine is true bypass not millenium.  What I'm hoping for is that whether or not the effect is engaged, equal signals are going to the amps.

As for the AMZ JFet splitter that might work.  But I would need to place it not at the output of the echo circuit but at the output coming off the stomp switch.  That way even when bypassed i'm still getting two equal signals to both outs.  That make sense?

For simply running 2 amps, I would build/buy a stand-alone solution for splitting the signal and not mess with the delay pedal since you're not looking for a 'true' stereo effect. Just my 2c.

Yes that's all i want.  But for lack of pedalboard space I'm thinking of building it into the echo enclosure.  It would exist outside of the echo circuit...it would just steal power from the echo.  There would be two output jacks...neither one necessarily the "stereo" jack...for mono use you could plug into either one using the amz jfet splitter in the way i mentioned above.  I think that would work.

I don't foresee any issues with that...I'd say go for it!

If you are going to expend the energy to modify your existing build...you might as well do it right.

You can make a small daughter board for the second output, mirroring the first output.

You can use this schematic as a reference:

It really isn't that difficult.  :icon_wink:
I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)

I needed a diversion from the Mutron Flanger build documents.....so I whipped this up.

It's not verified but it should work. It would be worth breadboarding the additional circuit before committing to a daughter board.

Edit:
I just noticed the original poster's second post.
"What I'm hoping for is that whether or not the effect is engaged, equal signals are going to the amps."

That changes things a bit!
So you want an effect that evenly splits the clean signal when bypassed. hmm, I'll have to think about that one.
