BK Butler power adapter?

Please bear with me, I know nothing about electronics. After about 10 years of storage I pulled out my TubeWorks BK Butler Tube Driver and can't find the power adapter. If I wanted to buy one is there a certain spec or a certain type of adapter I should be looking for?

Do a web search, man. There are a couple of varieties of the pedal - some have a hard-wired cord, others an adaptor.  I believe the adapator was 16VAC, 1+ amps, but you'd want to make sure of that.    Nothing on the pedal itself to tell you, huh?  No "+ or - " markings?   You'll need to have that figured out before you order something...a direct 'for this unit' replacement would be best, so you be sure you have the right polarity.

Wrong polarity = tragic frying of internal components. (unless it's AC, of course!)

I'm sorry. It says '9V DC' on the back of the unit. I will just pick up a 9V DC adapter.

Keep in mind you might need to find out what the current requirement is!

If you get an adapter rated for say, "9V @ 1.5A" and only draw .3A, you might be at 15 volts or something.....and one that says "9V@300mA", if you draw 1.5A, you might sag down to 6V.     Those adapters aren't regulated, generally...they give "about" 9V AT A CERTAIN CURRENT DRAW.

You also need to know if the center pin is positive or negative on the jack.     Should be written ON or near the jack...

Some net research would probably get you the current draw, if it's not posted.   This has been discussed on other forums (I've seen it, did a quick search...).  Good luck!
