Hi,

I would like to share a mod I came up for my Boss CE-2 chorus clone. I've used this chorus stock for years, but I always found it a bit "too" analog sounding for my tastes.

So I thought adding a cap in parallel to R22 (the last resistor from the chorused signal before it meets the dry signal again) might add some lost high frequencies.
I came up with 2.2nF being the most effective value for me.
Below that, the gain in presence is maybe too little (however, I don't have any cap between 1n and 2.2n available at the moment, so maybe something like 1.5n might be good as well); above that, too much frequencies pass so the effected signal becomes too dominant over the dry sound.

To my ears, this simple mods gives more breath to the pedal, like pulling off a blanket from the sound.

You might implement this to your pedal via a simple toggle switch or even put a pot in series with the added cap to dial in exactly the right amount of highs you want anytime.

I hope this information might be useful for someone to find his/her perfect chorus tone!

Have a good day!

Giulio
