Easyvibe looses Vibe after 20seg of connected to 9V

Hi,

just finished a Easyvibe ... works fine but just for 20 seg....  then it looses completely the vibe effect and sounds just "clean"... (when it gets disconnected from 9V... and again into 9V it restarts and vibes, and then looses the efect after 20seg.)

Strange right?

The LFO works, the rate led shows it, the four LDR+LED and the bias leds shows that the LFO works.

Any ideas where to test, look or anything which may solve this?

"Debugging Thread: what to do when it doesn't work.

Measure one set of voltages right after restarting (sorry, you'll have to measure one voltage after one restart, so this may take a while) and then another set of voltages when it's not vibing. The difference will tell you what's going wrong over the 20 seconds.

A fault that fades in over several seconds is nearly always a problem with charging/discharging a cap or a thermal problem. Try cap voltage first.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
