So a friend dropped this off for me to fix. The only apparent problem is the pots, really scratchy and noisy, particularly on the remote and local mix/level pots. I opened it up and found some very suspect connections.

what's the likelihood that the pots need to be replaced vs touching up the connections with some solder?

I would try reflowing the pot pads first. Board mounted pots sometimes get solder cracks around the pads that can make them not work/act weird. If you don't have another pot laying around, you might try spraying some cleaner like deoxit in the pot (if it isn't sealed) and that can cure  a lot of scratchy pot issues.

IF your friend does not care about "authenticity", you could always replace the pot(s) with standard 24mm pots.

Pretty cheap to be had..  ;D

it works? clean the pots. give it back and be done with it. iirc, that one has an sad4096. you really dont want that bbd crapping out on your watch.
That's where it's at.
