parallel universe starve function

Hello Everyone.

I recently finished building the parallel universe using:

Everything seems to work fine other than the starve function, which on my build just seems to lower the volume a little. There is a 'starve-type' effect going on, but there's no range to it when I turn the control. I've gone over everything and my wiring seems fine.

Any ideas ??
